Iv been wanting to buy or make a paddle kit but they retail for $600 and work only with after market ricer steering wheels. my idea is for those who have an after market stereo and have set of useless buttons on the left side of the wheel.

All that must be done is pin and follow the UP/DOWN buttons (under mode) and run them to the shifter and tap into the + & - terminals on the Shiftronic mode.

What u guys think?

non-fixed shifter on the steering wheel won't work that well... what happens when the wheel is turned and you're trying to shift at the same time? I think it'll be difficult to locate them and press the correct button when driving aggressively/racing.

what about moving the wires from the cruse control on/off switch to either the volume up / down buttons and then attaching paddles to the volume mute switch and the cruse control switch on the backside of the wheel and then attaching the wires from the shiftronic switch to these new paddles, if that makes any sense. That way the paddles will turn with your hands. Not sure how it will work out with the different relays in the different switches though.
