Could have been caused by a rock caught between the pad and the rotor. I doubt that it is of any real consequence.
Just make sure that you have plenty of pad left.

Nothing to worry about. Need to check that the pads are OK though and there's not a stone stuck in there (if there was, it would likely screech and scream)

Is that something you can do? (the checking, not the screaming)

I was thinking a pebble was stuck between pad and disc too.. I don't hear a noise at all when breaking tho. I can't check pad myself, would need a mechanic to inspect it I suppose. Pad is only 6 months old tho.
