hello all. My 2004, 2.0 diesel has developed a very lazzzzy heater. Can any one give me the heads-up too how difficult it is to find, clean or replace the heater matrix please. Thank you for any help.
Also, is it me or, is there no manuals for diesel Santa Fe's??

Again, many thanks. :auto:

If your heater is taking a long time to produce heat maybe the problem is with the electric auxiliary heater rather than the heater matrix.

CRDi engines are much more thermally efficient than petrol engines, meaning they use the energy created by burning the fuel to move the vehicle, not heat the coolant. That's why cars with CRDi engines often have an electric auxiliary heater to supplement the heater matrix.

Sorry, I don't know where it is on the Santa Fe. Sometimes it's out in the engine bay in the form of glow plugs fitted into one of the coolant pipes. Sometimes it's on the heater box behind the dashboard.
