Hey there! My father owns a 2012 Sonata and just had his driver side CV boot replaced as it had a tear. He had it serviced at our local Hyundai dealer and noticed today driving down the highway that his bumper is loose, like a clip is busted or not connected. Does anyone know if the dealer has to take the bumper off to replace the boot? I wouldn't think so..He wanted me to see if it was potentially a mistake done at the dealer, he's taking it back in tomorrow regardless.

Thanks in advance!

I don't think they would have to take the bumper off. But that doesn't mean they didn't break it while they were working on it. They could have.

Or, it could have happened some other time and isn't the dealer's fault.

I personally have never seen the bumper off to replace a boot. But hey, you will never know with a dealer.

Father took it in and a tech apparently just pulled up and popped the bumper back into place. Must have just came unclipped somehow.
