Hello everyone,

I have a 11/2004 Santa Fe 2.0 CRDi 125hp manual 4wd and I was wondering if It is possible to add cruise control to it.
I was not able to find any conversion kits and no specific information for installing cruise control to this car.
I was wondering if I would need a new computer alongside with other stuff, the throttle is vacuum operated so I guess all of this will not be simple install but non the less I would be happy to hear from you and find out if anyone has attempted this :)

Thank you in advance!

Aftermarket cruise control kits for CRDi engines are very expensive due to the "fly by wire" throttle control.
But often the cruise control program is already there in the engine control computer and all you need to do is add the OEM cruise control switches and it will work.

Failing that, you can always have a go at building your own. I did and had a working cruise control system for my Hyundai Getz CRDi for about £30, build around an Arduino Uno...see link below :

Cruising with Arduino - well hopefully
