Hello everyone...

I am Building and micro Camper for a handicapped friend and I am trying to mount a cruise control.

I need to find two places in the electric system where I can pick up necessary signals.

One is for the speed meter and the other one is for engine rpm.

Is there someone who have the knowledge of this?

Kind regards / Thomas

Hello Thomas, welcome to the forum 00000732

There are a couple of places you can connect to the signals you need but I've never done any work on an H1 (they never sold them here in the UK) so I'm not sure where is best/easiest. If the instrument cluster is easy to remove that would probably be the most convenient place since both wires are close together there. If it's a lot of work to remove the cluster then you can pick up the VSS signal at the ETAC module behind the dashboard on the drivers side, and the RPM signal can be found on the engine PCM which is behind the dash on the passenger side.

Good luck with the installation.

Scott.
