Hi all.

I am new to the forum. I have just purchased a Tucson. I am happy with it apart from one problem.

Creak Noise heard when steering full lock and up a curb. I have tightened the subframe bolts and used silicone spray on the bushes, but no joy.

I am suspecting the anti roll bar links as they are highly stressed in this manouvre. Any thoughts anyone?

Andy.

Dont know what year Tucson we playing with as it not seen in your "DRIVES" part of profile under username to include year - Tucson and which engine installed.

Usual suspect noise associated with Tucson (depending on year) is the subframe bushings.. the rubber core seperates from the steel outer shell that pressed into frame, and the frame moves up/down on the rubber core maybe 10-12mm, and loaded associated against the rubber bushing makes for creak/groan sound

It's a 2006 2.0 CRDI UK Auto 2WD. Profile updated.

is there a way to check the subframe bushes, while attached to the vehicle?

Hi, I have the same car car, but my noise is similar but sounds more like something on the steering.
It sounds like a creaking sound when turning.
How do I sort this out?
