hi guys, just need to know if anyone has changed their crank sensors, were the Tiburons originally fitted with a metal sensors(the part that goes into the block)...or the full plastic housing type? Also is there a way to test them?

Some Hyundai engines did come fitted with metal sensors back in the day.

To test the sensors properly you really need an oscilloscope but you can see if it is generating a voltage by connecting an AC voltmeter across the sensor connector then crank the engine. I'm not sure what two terminals the voltage comes out on off the top of my head. You can figure it out by testing the resistances of the 3 terminals. Whichever two terminals give you a resistance of about 500 Ohms (0.5 kilo Ohms), those are the two you want to measure the AC voltage on.
