Greetings,
I changed my rear plugs, PCV valve -- started car and drove it for 30miles, deep loiud tapping obvious every 30s on idle. P0340 appeared. After just 30miles spark plugs were dry carbon fouled - it is rich, and a bit of fuel in oil.

THEN, I changed Camshaft sensor ($50 non OEM) and put everything back, slightly cleaned plugs but still new with a bit of carbon. Car now cranks, but NO START.

Could a spark plug be the cause? Hard to imagine one spark plug could do that? New Camshaft sensor bad?

No codes. Suggestions?

Check the terminals inside the plug. If the car went fine before you did the work it's obviously something you have done.

Denso Long Life Platinum - I already used some in the front and they work.
The tell is the rich condition, don't know how I got that happening after a spark plug change?

I do note I changed the PCV valve as well.

amazon fakes will work and also cause issues.
typically the fakes are the NGK iridium or ruthenium plugs.

regarding this noise and now the no start, and your cascading array of issues, have you run a full scan on all the vehicle modules.
not an OBDii scan.

I haven't run a full scan - only have OBD.
I put the old plugs in so at least I know they were working (and of course feeling like I should have done this in the summer).

I get a crank but no start. I wonder if it is the new camshaft sensor (cheapie version)?
