I have an 07 tib and im looking for a way to get rid of the safety start switch/button that you have to depress when you go to start the car. I have a 5 speed and am looking to put a remote start on it but that stupid button wont let it start unless it is depressed any ideas on how to get rid of?

its kinda hard actually, you have to use the remote start to send a ground signal to the clutch at the time of the starter crank... if you need more, just email me and i can help you through it

Dear badmot,

Just curious, why do you want to bypass the switch?

the switch is located under the dash board at the top of the clutch pedal lever. You could just bypass the switch by splicing or connecting the the power wire and signal wire together. the easy way is to buy a crimp splice connector at Autozone (also calleed Detroit connector). the crimp splice connector can be removed without damage to the two wires should you change your mind.
