just got my 2013 accent mt. i applied elevo rainfly rain and snow repellant on my windshield. first time i used the wipers in the rain, it was not smooth. i would describe it as choppy. does the rain repellant have any effect on the wipers? or is it defective wipers?
thanks for your replies.

Yes of course it has some effect.
No your wipers are not defective.
Give it some time.

Personally I never liked any of the "rain repellant" products for reasons similar to what you are seeing.

never put any of that stuff on your windshield, that's what it causes its not your wipers its the treatment you applied.
I'd give the windshield and wipers a good cleaning with strong mixture of dish soap and hot water

That stuff is made to bead water off the screen at speed, wipers will hamper that effect. It same stuff they use on motorcycle helmet screens. Maybe not good for heavy rain or snow but works in normal rain. Just don't chase storms, rain is too heavy.
