Anyone seen this before. According to my dash, it says check rear collision warning and several other safety related things. Car stutters a bit from a stop, but drives ok otherwise.

All this started after coming off cruise control for a freeway exit. I'm on a 2000 mile road trip, so timing couldn't be worse.

All warnings stay present after shutting off and starting again. Have not tried disconnecting battery yet. Car loaded with too much luggage and no tools to do so on my trip.

The triangle wish a '3' next to it shows there are 3 warning messages that are showing on the info screen if you navigate to that screen (left hand side of steering, inboard buttons to go through pages.

The lights showing are generally indicating a braking issue on the vehicle. Notably:
Braking system error (yellow exclamation)
Auto Hold error (yellow auto-hold)
Automatic Emergency Brake error (yellow cars crashing into each other)
Downhill descent error (yellow car headed downhill)
Stability control - (yellow skid marks)
ABS error (yellow ABS)

It doesn't appear to be radar issue (AEB system) as that normally shows differently.
A speed sensor error also shows with different mix of warning lights.
Looks like it may be related to a braking system failure. Seeing the info screen may be helpful, but could be a number of things. Were there any noises or behavioural changes that occurred?

If you have bluelink setup you may be able to check some of the system messages that come up on the car. When you cycle the car, did the errors come back immediately or after a while?

Best bet would be to get hold of the Hyundai emergency assist and get them to check things out and advise. May well be a tow to the nearest dealer to get it checked, but rather be safe than sorry.

Thanks. The 3 errors are specifically check front safety systems, check rear cross traffic safety system, and check blind spot monitoring system. The dash lights up with all that you see which is strange given the 3 specific warnings.

The warnings show immediately after cycling. They all went away except for the check engine light once after about 2 min of driving but came back after 2 more min.

I'm in a pickle because we're in the middle of a road trip and can't leave the car without significant cost due to schedule changes.

Technically they are yellow warnings, which are just that. If they were red, it would be a case of 'do not drive', so see how it goes.

If you're on a road trip, do you have a lot of road dirt/ debris on the car? May be that you have some dirt that's clogged on the sensors? The radar is in the middle at the front, below your license plate. Flat panel, if it's got a ton of flies/ dirt on it, it could affect it. Same can be said for the other sensors around the side of the vehicle (little round dimples) that work for the cross traffic and different systems.

Good point about dirty sensors. I'll check, but we did get a car wash in the morning before the warnings started. Thanks for the advice about yellow vs red.

For anyone who might have same issue, it was diagnosed as a wheel speed sensor assembly failure. Part hy58950-claf0.

Will be under warranty but cost if not under warranty was quoted at $310.49 usd. Part, labor, tax.

After driving another ~1000 miles to complete my road trip, all the errors have gone away and stayed off. My only suspicion now is that it started in Las Cruces, New Mexico, about 50 miles after visiting White Sands National Park in New Mexico. The sand is super fine and 98% gypsum and about 5 miles of our drive in the park was on roads covered with the sand. After another ~300 miles in Tucson, Arizona all the warnings went away. I can only imagine that whatever residue that was interfering with the speed sensor naturally blew off during the drive.

The dealer mentioned the wheel speed sensor is a sensitive magnetic based instrument. In a quick Google search, it seems that some gypsum based materials have an electromagnetic shielding effect. I can only surmise the sands caused the issue. Any engineers have any thoughts on this theory?
