I have a 94 1.5L accent, i have replaced the piston rings in a workshop today, when we started the car the check engine light was on, but the car was running fine. The mechanic tried to check the connector cables he removed the map sensor cable when the car was running. After that car turned of, when we tried to start it again after connecting the cable back, it is not running well and it seems that there is alot of fuel injecting in the engine because there is a smell but no leak from the fule pipes and also the car is consuming more fuel compared to the consumbtion before this issue.
What is the effect of removing the map sensor while the car is running? And please advice what to do to get the car working probably?

Please advice.
Thanks in advance.
