Hi all,

I just thought I'd share this. I was planning on using my MyFi data dongle to get 'always on' traffic and live POI but it needed to be switched on every time.

I ended up using a Huawei Wingle E8372h-153 USB dongle that I plug straight into a 12v -> USB plug in the rear of the car and velcro it to the inside panel. I also used a £7 per month data sim in it and it works really well.

I know there is an App that turns on the Wifi hotspot when Bluetooth is connected, but it becomes a bit of a faf and drains the battery quickly.

Now within about 20 - 30 seconds, my SatNav is connected and getting live traffic, cameras and allowing live searches, and the usage for me (a couple of hours commute each day) is about 300Mb per month (including my phone connecting when I'm in the car also)
