I have looked around and read how to change the belt, You have to loosen the 2 bolts on the tension pulley. My problem is one bolt is rounded, so I can't get the socket to grip on it. Is there another way to change the belt? Please be advised I'm not good at mechanics lol

Forgot to add it's a 2001 6 cy.

No need to loosen any bolts if you are just changing the serpentine belt. You just put a ratchet/breaker bar/serpentine belt tool into the little square hole of the tensioner and push clockwise. It should rotate a bit and allow you to slip the belt right off.

On a 2.7 you have to remove the tensioner to get the belt off, and back on. You then reinstall the tensioner, and THEN use the serp tool to get the belt back on. To get at the rounded off bolt, take off the black plastic cover to see what you have. Buy a new bolt from your "friendly" Hyundai dealer, don't replace it with a hardware store bolt. It might not be a bad idea to replace the tensioner, and idler pulley along with the belt. They do come in a belt kit.
