So I noticed that Hyundai doesn't make a carpeted floor mat for the cargo area in the GT. I have looked around the internet but have been unable to find one that fits the GT with tech package because it has the subwoofer, so that area is covered up. Anyone looking for/found one? I was thinking of getting one that fits the model without the subwoofer and cutting it, but figured I'd ask first to see if anyone has seen one that fits properly.

Mat will do for now, protecting carpet. still needs a little more fine trimming.
Looks fantastic! Seems like heavy duty stuff and I think it blends well with the carpet.

Have you considered using the cargo net? You probably won't need it because the mat has plenty of grip textures, but it might complement each other if used together.

I know the one you have is trim to fit, but I kind of like the fact that the edges are folded up to ensure that nothing ever spills onto the actual cargo area underneath.

Here is the Weathertech trim to fit liner.
https://smile.amazon.com/WeatherTec...N%2B-MMOJL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch&th=1

and here is a literal knock-off.
https://smile.amazon.com/FH-Group-F...pID=51cIPqizd3L&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

And a knock-off that's less than half the price of the WeatherTech.

It all depends on your budget. I am picking up the knock-off cause I'm tired of stuff sliding around and it's a lease. Don't want to invest too much into it to not get that money back.

Old thread, but I'm new to the forum and appreciate everyone's input. I bought my GTS with Tech Pack last month and a rear cargo mat was on the list of things to do. The first listed knock off which is a ringer for the Weathertech can be had for $15 when purchased "Used like new" from Amazon. Listed under "other purchase options" I just bought one, with one remaining.

Wathertech does not have fit-to-vehicle cargo mat for GT with sub-woofer. They have only for 'plain' GT.
The whole point of cargo mat is to have it WITH high outside lips so if you spill something it stays on/in the mat.
All other mats are just a protective layer on top of cargo area and would not be suitable for my need. I would use 20 cent commercial garbage bag and it will do the trick.

Whatever generic cargo mat you buy, head over to elantragtforum.com. In the "Interior" section Bobdod04 has a cargo mat thread with pictorial on how you get a nice custom look. The mats linked in this thread are thicker and more rugged than what he used but the results should be the same. He did a great job.

Got in my FH Group Cargo Liner F16406BLACK Black All Season Protection Cargo Floor Mat yesterday. I pulled the cargo floor liner out so I could trace the pattern onto the rubber mat.

I missed the fact that there is a small little triangular shelf on the right side of the GT with the tech package that is not part of the cargo floor liner. Non Tech package GTS surely have the same little shelf on the left side as well as they don't have the subwoofer.

The mat at its widest point near the tailgate is 53 in whereas the car is 55 inches for non Tech package models. Bottom line you cannot accommodate the little shelf areas in totality. In no way does it look bad by not covering that little shelf area. I haven't figured out how to post photos yet maybe that will happen at a later time.
