so the lump sum is $361 total minus any reimbursements they've given already. I got something like $90 the first time I went in and had something like 22k kms. I now have 47k kms.... I think it would make more sense for me to continue to get reimbursed considering i tack on so many kms. which reminds me... I have to schedule an appointment for service ;)

So over 100,000 miles and assuming ~$3.50 per gallon, the one time payment is $361 vs $381 if taken on an annual basis. Pretty much an even-steven proposition. If you plan on selling the car earlier, or don't want the annual hassle of going to the dealer, then take the lump sum. If you plan on going the distance and beyond, or if you think gas prices will climb significantly, then take it on an annual basis. Pretty much, it is a fair alternative IMO.

The litigators are the only ones who win in my opinion. How ever I do like the idea of a one time deal of cash or 150% dealer credit or 200% toward purchase of a new ride.
