I wish they had firmware for the 2014 to talk to newer phones through the usb. I wanted to get into hi-res music, but hi-res music and Bluetooth are not a good combination. The only other avenue I can think of is a Dragonfly Red DAC, a USB OTG cable, really good 3.5mm cable and then use the aux port. No album art or anything will show on the main screen, but the audio signal should work.

I just purchased a 2017 Santa Fe sport 2.0T ultimate and very dissappointed that the previous owner didnt update the free software to apply carplay, I have notified Hyundai Canada and they apologize and said i will have to pay for it at $175 usd. which is highway robbery for carplay. If any one can give me a copy of there update would very much appreciated. I am located in Markham Ontario
Thanks
Mike

UPDATE : GOOD NEWS FOR KIA AND HYUNDAI OWNERS IN CANADA AND USA.

SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD link for KIA (You can change the country on the top right of this webpage):

As of September 2020, several KIA and Hyundai models, some even as old as 2014 Kia Soul for example, in Canada and US have access to FREE MapNSoft Map Update. This update includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These features were introduced in software update version 10.5 originally in 2018. So somehow if you are stuck on an older software version, now you can update your software for free. The one thing to note, it that if your model is eligible for the sw version 14.5 update, and your current SD card is 16GB, you will need to get a new 32GB SD Card (Class 10) which is about $15 online. If your vehicle is eligible for the sw version 14 update, then you are fine with your current 16GB SD Card. It is good to see that Canada is no longer being ignored. You can start your software download here: Mapcare | Home page

@Suhail Halai Elantra 2017 /Canadian (no navigation) doesn’t show on that website you’re referring to.
I got a used car and I have just the Android Auto. I’ve been searching for a solution for days and I really can’t find how to get an update for my car and start using Car Play.

does anyone know if I can update my unit using a version that contains map?

Your car is eligible based on the press release. You should be able to just download the software for free from the link above. Just pretend like you have navigation and proceeds with the steps. Just pick your model year and download the software. AFTER you install and launch the software, it may ask you to login using your “My Hyundai” username and password, but there is also an option to proceed as guest. Just click through and you should be all set.

Canadian Press Release is here:

@Suhail Halai I have tried that before messaging you and here’s what I got
