Noticed the auxiliary belt was starting to crack, so went to Hyundai themselves and got the genuine belt from them. The old belt and the new belt are the exact same size, but for some reason the new belt keeps slipping and squealing? Can anybody help us and give us any ideas what this could be.
the squealing wasn't there when the old belt was on the car and has only just started since the new one was fitted.

Does the belt not maybe just need to be tensioned properly, or is it a stretch belt?

Who fitted the belt? If a garage fitted it you should go back to them and have them fix it.

Check to see what pulley it's slipping around. Maybe the old belt was slipping and no noise.
Just had a Hemi V8 I started, no noise but a lot of smoke, so shut it down, the alternator was frozen and the belt was totally destroyed with rubber on the alt pulley. Freed/cleaned the alt pulley, new belt, good to go.
