Can any one help and let me know how to get the front hubs of the car? I have 03' Elantra that I broke two studs off each side of the front end changing brake pads. I took the car in to have tires rotated and balanced and of course some rookie over tightened the lug nuts. I do have everything off but before I get more into it I would like to know if there is any hints to getting hubs off so I can get new stubs. Thanks in advance.

The hubs have to be pressed off and the bearing will need to be replaced at the same time. A good old timer mech can replace the studs without removing the hubs. It requires a couple of modifications but I've done it several times.

HEHEHEHEEEE ,,, front stud replacement..

Get new studs and nuts at dealer..

Remove the caliper/mounting as an assembly (remove the 2 bolt with 17mm head)

Remove rotor.

Hit stud remnant with hammer, this will pop out old stud (be sure hub/old stud is aligned with area previously occupied by caliper/pad mount bracket...

Insert new stud into hole, use nut and couple flat washer to draw new stud into place... use finger tip to feel the stud flange fit up to the hub.

Repeat as needed

Re-assemble brakes and wheel
