I have taken a look at a pals 1994 S-Coupe 1.5 non-turbo, with 24K REAL miles on the clock.
After a service, it drives well, slight hesitation on acceleration at times but I will clean breathers/throttle body etc
My main concern is the amount of brake pedal travel before it stops (half way) & it does stop OK then.
I will take a further look, bleed brakes etc but just wanted to know what is normal (pads & disks look like new).

Shopmanual says free play of the pedal should be around 4-10mm.

I guess after bleeding the system it will be better.
Thanks for the reply, I was referring to the amount of travel of the brake pedal before the brakes kick in, rather than the free play on the pedal.

To me that's the same thing ;) If I press my brake about 1 cm in my car the brakes work. But im no mechanic so you may be right .:)
