Hello, I have a 2009 Hyundai Accent with a bad brake light switch. I've contacted Hyundai Europe and they say they'll get back to me in 7 to 10 days about the brake light switch. I can't go without a car that long and was wondering if someone knows if I can find out if a european brake light switch will work instead of an American one. I have one queued up and can order it from Amazon but it will take a week or 2 to get here.

Is there anything I can do to find out if europe has the same part or a part that will work until one from the states gets here? Thank you. I'm in Wiesbaden, Germany if it matters.

This is a free recall no cost to you! Sticky on top of forum on my Hyundai repair site talks about the recall service bulletin on the brake lamp switch malfunction. This is very dangerous and you car needs to visit the dealer to get this fixed. This applies to all users here! The recall was made in 09 for alantra, accent and other Hyundai vehicles!
