So I have a 2013 Elantra GT which we bought new and has been nothing but a nightmare but we can't currently replace it. On top of the recalls, they had to replace the engine, both our back side windows and the brakes constantly end up making the stupid flapping sound shortly after they "correct" it. Anyway the other day the bluetooth starts acting up and now we can't even access the phone settings. And we're out of warranty. They just quoted us $1200 just for the parts (dealership) I've tried all the tricks I've found on YouTube and forums and no dice. How hard would this be to fix myself and is there somewhere that someone can recommend to source the parts if it is doable or if I am deluding myself.

There are aftermarket stereo's you could install for less than that, have you looked into those much?

You could always list out exactly what your bluetooth problems are on here and someone might have some tips for you too.
