I bought my Elantra about a month ago.

I want to buy a small black spoiler online i never bought anything online for a car so I don’t know the best websites for it

And is the red caliper cover harmful for the car (in the summer where i live the temperature reach up to 122 degrees fahrenheit)

I bought a rear spoiler off an eBay site for my 2013. Had to wait for the 3-step Shimmering White Metallic applied before shipping. Some company in Louisville, KY, I think. Cost was about $120. Not too long to wait. Had it in about a week.

The real thrill was the measuring and drilling 5 holes in the trunk lid of a brand new car. That goes against all logic. But it turned out perfect. Had lots of compliments. The way my 2017 trunk lid rises in the back I don’t think I’ll mess with doing it again.

Thank you all for your help.

Anyone know about the caliper cover?

I would opt for a great high temp paint, your choice of color. And some masking tape. You need to pull the wheels anyway. Why add a cover that may warp from heat, break, fall off, etc? Not saying they will, but the potential is there.

Spray or brush? Your choice. But do clean them and brush off any foreign material(s) attached. Some guys have completely removed their calipers on all four wheels. I’m not that industrious. I painted the calipers and drums on an ‘85 CRX Si, intact. Elected to take the spray route. Masked around the area. Got busy. Peeled the tape and coverings off after it dried. Looked great. Back to cruising. And since it was high temp, it lasted for the 10+ years I owned that little dumpling. The shine began to dull over time, but still noticeable.

Hi @iLazyAF,

We are an authorized vendor at Hyundai-Forums. We carry several spoiler options for the 2017 Elantra, and almost all of them can be pained to match the vehicle's exterior. We will only need the color code to do that for you. You can check out the selection by following the link below:

As for the caliper covers, we've been selling MGP caliper covers for years, and they reduce brake operation temperatures. According to the tests conducted by MGP, when checked with an infrared thermometer gun, it was found that caliper cover equipped brake calipers were 30º-50ºF cooler than brake calipers without caliper covers. MGP Caliper Covers act as a heat sink, drawing heat out of the brake calipers, prolonging the life of brake system components and reducing the potential for brake fade. Below is the link to view the caliper cover options we offer for the 2017 Elantra:
