This is the second time it happened:
I have Ioniq PHEV. I plug it in for the night, and the car says it needs 7 hours to charge. I go to bed.
In the morning, I see that the charging is over. I get in the car to drive and discover that the battery is only 3/4 charged. Why would charging stop before it charges the battery in full?

Don't know.
Have heard of the guy who lives at the top of the hill.
He parks his EV and plugs it in.
Starts by going down hill.
So, the battery needs capacity to store all this energy

That could be the reason??
Who knows?
Call the dealer up and ask
See what they have to say.
