Thats why they have lifetime warranty, keep replacing them til you get 1 that works,,, been there wife car when we was dating till she called her dad and had him grab 1 off shelf at dealer he worked at... problem solved..
Make sure the plug is installed to the alternator, and cable fit proper.
I would venture the "lamp" portion of the alternator is not sending (+) voltage to cancel the light, it is staying (-) to keep the lamp illuminated..
