Hi everyone,

I've been trying to get a battery for my 2000 Accent with little luck in big box retailers like Walmart, Costco and even PepBoys. I find the car in their battery catalogs, but they never carry my exact one.

I was told to match up the battery poles and amps, even if the model numbers don't. Is this reliable? What kind of batteries do you have? What models/brands are compatible? At PepBoys, they couldn't even find it in their computer system!

My current battery is almost dead and illegible, but I can make out a 625 CCA.

Thanks

Here is the one pepboys had for my 2001 1.5L works great. I just went to pepboys website & entered vehicle and it gave me the same part # for a battery.

ProStart PLATINUM-24/72 MO

* LTD. 24 MONTH FREE REPLACE
* 500CCA/625CA - RESERVE MIN = 85

Part # 26RH500PS

Hope that helps. I know it is hard to find one for our cars because the polls ( + & - ) are on the opposite sides compared to other cars.
