Hi :)

Can anyone tell me if the AUX input in the ix35 functions independently by itself, or does it only work in tandem with the USB input and the Hyundai cable? For example, could AUX be used as an input when connected to say an mp3 player's 'headphones out' jack via a normal mini cable? In my ix35 trying this just results in 'no media' on the radio display. Or is there something I've missed?

Cheers, Lee :)

(PS, sorry if this has been covered elsewhere - I searched but couldn't discover the answer)!

Get it checked. I have used a cable to connect this to my ipod via the headphones. once connected, the radio automatically turns to "Aux"...
USB is independent. I plug a normal flash drive in the USB for my MP3s as well.

Thanks for that, I took it into the dealer and they checked it. It turns out the radio unit had a fault and so they replaced it for me. I was lucky too as the unit they replaced it with is the one in the Version 2 IX35 which has bluetooth connectivity, which my original one didn't. The only problem I have now is trying to source an operating manual for it!
