I will change the fluid and filter when the car gets to 30K miles (28K right now). Where I live gets very hot and I drive on mountain roads a lot. However, I don't know how to change the tranny filter, I looked in the repair manual and couldn't find anything on how to do that.

Does anyone knows how to change the filter?

You don't need to change the filter in these cars, unless there's something wrong with it. Our transmissions are designed as a sealed system, so as far as regular maintenance goes, all it needs is a drain/refill.
