Hi Guys,

I have a Hyundai i40 SE Nav CRDI Blue Drive 2017 Saloon.

I have an issue with my auto hold button that has been jammed. This maybe due to a spillage that has gone inside and made it get stuck and now it appears on my dash.
Was wondering to get rid of it myself and buy one online and install it myself however, I’m no mechanic LOL. Does anyone know if it’s a easy fix to replace? or would you guys suggest in taking it in to Hyundai and paying them to do it?

If you knew someone switched on, it maybe possible to dismantle that unit and check inside , clean with isopropyl alcohol and free the microswitch up. Just remember this also operates the EPB. If you stuff it up you may be stuck with the brakes on

That’s brilliant,
Could i use isopropyl alcohol and spray it on top of the button and see if it frees it up
instead of taking the middle console out?
or would this damage the electrics in the vehicle?
