Just changed the ATF fluid at 99k miles. Used valvoline maxlife red fluid. $7/qt. Mechanic used up all 5qts. Drain plug had some material glob up, but not much. Fluid came out mostly reddish. I think it was fairly clean due to the drain dealership did at 60k due to a transmission sensor fail. Mechanic said he reset the computer. Car runs and shifts about the same, maybe a tad better shifts. See pics

Looks good! Mine only took 4.25 quarts? Valvoline goes on sale around here for $15/gal. Usually $20, but prices probably have gone up.

This got me thinking whether my 2019 Tucson has a drain plug. My '04 Jeep did not which really angered me. How stupid is it that your only option is to drop the whole pan to change the fluid?

Yes, it's a sloppy job to drop the pan...but at least you can change the filter when you do!
