I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata that the keyless entry system suddenly stopped working. As usual, I locked my car via the FOB one night and when I tried to use the FOB(as usual) to unlock my car, it wouldn’t work. Changed the battery, same thing. I then I used the key to open my car and the alarm went nuts. It would do this every time and would not start. I towed it to the dealer. They were all baffled until one person there showed everyone a little push button knob under the dashboard you have to hold for a number of seconds to disengage the security system. I’ve been making due with having to disengage the system every few days and still not being able to use any of my three FOB’s. Does anyone know what’s going on?

Have you tried putting the fob in the center console socket (used when the battery in the fob dies) to see if it can work that way? I think the '13 is the same as my '11 and '12

It almost certainly does, in some newer models you hold the fob against the start button instead. The
socket is in the center console on the front wall near the bottom.

Your's is different, My car doesn't use a key for entry or starting, I may have confused keyless entry? In the arm rest under your right arm in the bottom compartment there is a place to put the fob in my car, now I'm not sure about yours.

My car has push button start, I thought it was the same as keyless entry, so my bad.
As a last resort, you could disconnect the car battery for 10 minutes to reset everything, The car will behave a little sluggish for a few miles while it refreshes it's settings and emissions values.but that is all I can think of
