Are Usb Media Play Lists Possible?

I have about 1000 songs organized by artist then album, as in windows media player, on a USB drive. Having to search and scroll through the folders to find a given song is obviously not an effective method? Has anyone been able to get a play list to work? If a play lists can't be used I guess my next alternative is to hand sort songs into folders and move them over to the USB drive in that fashion.

A playlist on a flash drive is as simple as a folder with a bunch of songs in it. the system plays them in their order continuously.
True, just set up like you want on computer and plug into car.
I thought as much. The downside is that a true play list referrences a location where a song is stored rather than actually storing it. So in order to make multiple "play lists" for the USB media in the car, some songs would be stored redundantly, in several locations. Just an inconvenience I guess. Not as user friendly as Microsoft Sync, but that's the way it goes...
i used an ipod for that. it's like a bank of music.
for a quick playlist of my top favs, i use a small usb to store 20~30 songs.
