We just picked up a '11 SE a couple weeks ago and I wouldn't be surprised if we pick up a '11 SE Turbo in the next few months. We're really happy with the SE, but the added HP/Tq and the dual climate control of the SE Turbo might force us to add a second Sonata to the stable! Of course, then we'll have to go through the hunt for a SE Turbo w/nav again, which I'm sure will be even harder to find in the color(s) of choice than our "plain Jane" SE w/nav was.

Just test drove both a sonata limited 2.0t and nonturbo SE models today.

Limited 2.0t has a nice feel to it, not soft, not too stiff. Power is very zippy, plenty of power at all speeds, fun car!
SE model, suspension felt very similar, maybe tab bit stiffer, still comfortable ride for me. Now for the power.... I got to be honest, the standard engine in the nonturbo has plenty of power. I never felt it was lacking during my test drives.

Here's my delema:

I enjoyed the added power of the turbo, dealer isn't discounting much off MSRP
I through costco buying plan can get nonturbo SE for 2100.00 off MSRP.
MSRP is 23,800.00 - 2100 = $21,700.00
MSRP on turbo SE $25,000 nothing off MSRP, no costco pricing on the turbo. So for me to get the turbo it will cost me $3,300.00 more.
thinking about which way to go..... have to admit I'm leaning toward the nonturbo SE.

We're considering a new 2.0t, found this site while doing a little online research (new to the site, not to Hyundai's - had a new 2001 XG300 when they first came out, drove it for 5 years without any trouble). Just tested a fully loaded incl nav 2.4 Limited, but no 2.0t's at the local dealer yet. The 2.4 Limited was very nice, but would definitely want a bit more pop when pressing the go pedal, so passed on that one. Disappointed though the, at least initially, the 2.0t won't be available with panorama sunroof, or even HID's - that latter is really a mis-step by Hyundai for this class of car IMO. Geez you can even get Mazda 3's with factory HID's these days. Anyway, will wait to test a 2.0t before deciding on anything else.

I'm pretty sure I could work out a good deal with my dealer as they keep calling me and trying to get me to come in....

I'm definitely getting a Pearl White 2.0T Limited w/ Navi but I'm gonna have to wait until they add a pano roof, HID's, and power passenger seats.

If Hyundai could squeeze those few features into next years Sonata then I'm all in

I'm going back and forth between the Limited and Limited Turbo.
The payment difference is bout $30 a month at 2.9%, and the Turbo will hve higher resale value in the end, so I'm leaning to Turbo.

Gott love having the Hp when needed, and still have hte MPG for highway.

The turbo has nicer scalability. What I would like to see in an aftermarket flash is a couple of different ECU maps:

-Low boost for higher fuel economy
-Higher boost for better performance

Having those options would be great. I would love to see what kind of fuel economy can be achieved by the 2.0L engine with lower boost. It would be great to switch between the ECU maps for those days when you want to run stock or higher performance.

I've pretty much decided to trade in mine for the turbo.
Dealer told me it will be out in early-mid Nov.

Well, I changed my mind after realizing I don't need the extra 74 hp.
I ended up trading up from my GLS to the SE.
Just got it 2 days ago, but already feel the difference in the suspension. Very nice.

I've already started to get price quotes. In NY we have about another 1 week or so before they get delivered.
I'm just outside Philly, all dealers are saying 1-2 weeks.
Apparently, the only color combination I want (Phantom Black, black Leather Limited) is limited. I here the gray leather is coming in Phantom black, but don't like the multiple grays in the moulding, leather, carpet, etc.
Black is super rich and sexy looking.

I went throught Costco, Dealer quoted $25,566. $300 over his invoice for Turbo. Anyone doing better ?

I have a white limited turbo no navi on reserve slated to come in next week. I can't wait! For me the extra few thousand dollars was worth all the goodies the turbo gives you, aside from the turbo of course. I much prefer the dual exhaust and wheels from the SE, but I also like the limited interior more. With the turbo I get some extra pep in my step and a mish-mash of the trim levels. Excellent!

Where did you read the Limted has the dual exhaust AND WHEELS from the SE ? I think the Limted Turbo has duals and 17" rims, not 18".

Both the limited and the SE 2.0T's come with the 18" wheels and dual exhaust. Here is a link to the sonata specs page http://www.hyundaiusa.com/sonata/specifications.aspx

It states "17" aluminum alloy / 18" Hyper silver aluminum alloy (2.0T)" under the Limited trim column. Granted I have not seen one in person, their marketing literature and website have led me to believe they do, which is awesome! Maybe someone can confirm this for us..
