Hi everyone,

I know it's strange, but I'm already looking for winter wheels and tires for my 08 hatchback. The stock size on my vehicle is 185/60R14, which is proving to be more difficult to find than the older size, 175/70R13. The 13s are also cheaper.

Has anyone put 13s on their 08 or newer? Will it clear the brakes, suspension, and body? I have the base model (not the sport), and it looks like the drums in the back would be no problem, but I'm not sure about the front calipers.

Let me know if you tried it, if it worked, or if it didn't. I checked a tire size calculator, and it said that the speedo would be off by about +0.5%, which is acceptable to me.

Thanks guys!

I have 175/70 14 as stock on my GS hatchback. This seems to be a popular tire size, and obviously fits the Accent just fine. Look on tirerack.com for winter tires in that size; they have a pretty good selection.

13's WILL NOT fit. Unless you take a grinder to the brake calipers. I've tried.
