Finally, the official recall paperwork was filed with NHTSA.

1. The issue is sharp bolts that can interfere with and damage the side-curtain airbags during deployment.
2. If your car was built after August 12, 2019, you are not affected.
3. Hyundai plans to notify owners in January. Your dealer may be able to get you in sooner
4. Hyundai's recall VIN checker still doesn't recognize my VIN as being affected, but I know it is. It takes time I guess.

Don’t sweat it too much. The fix takes only a few minutes.
Not worried about it. :)

There are worse recalls than this, or even things that are not recalled and should be! (I don't mean on the Palisade - I'm thinking of my 2012 Sonata...)

I was told by the service scheduler that it took 2 hours to correct the problem. But she couldn't tell me anything about the problem other that it involved bolts on the air bag. My appointment is Monday 11/25.

I took my Palisade to the dealer today. Service rep knew little about the recall. In and out in less than an hour and included a car wash inside and out.
Service order indicates one EVA pad was installed (EVA is a type of plastic).
