Following some videos on youtube for dash panel removal, I installed an Android head unit/dash cam/backup cam a week ago. Due to soldering wires and checking connections to test, I put power to the unit when the airbag wasn't connected.

How do I reset the airbag now that it is plugged in. I tried the "wait till the light goes away, then turn off" wait 5 seconds, then turn on, like 5 times in a row, but it did not work.

Is there another procedure to reset it? Also, what does the likelihood of this mean in case of an accident...that it might NOT deploy or what? In any case, I need to figure out a way to fix this myself. Thanks.

(No codes on my OBD reader)

Try remove battery cable

Beyond that, you'll need somebody to into SRS and find code to determine where fault was seen....

FYI,, OBD-II readers is only for POWERTRAIN... that why you didnt find DTC hiding in SRSCM
