Hi,

Can you help me please. The Air Conditioning is not working on a 07 Getz 1.5 cdx+ CRTD UK right hand drive. I have checked the fuse inside the car and in the engine bay. The relay in the engine bay and the on/off switch in the car. The pump is not being turned on (the relay is not being activated). If I bypass the relay and join the connections direcly the pump turns on. Does anybody have a wiring diagram they can send me please? Is there a control box somewhere? apart from the fuses, switch, pump and relay what other things should I check? I can see a sensor or something on one of the pipes but I have no idea what it does. Thanks Vince

Checked all the electrical system through. Looked ok. Got the system re-gassed and the aircon now works fine. Pressure tested ok. So it looks as if over 6 years the pressure had dropped through normal wear and was too low for the system to operate.

Hi:)

I have only just picked up on your Thread - I have had challenges with the aircon this year too.

For many years - being checked every two years - the aircon gas levels were perfect. Now in year 10, they needed topping up. In addition we had some very hot conditions which made the system work harder.

In addition - for future reference - I have found on the Getz - interior - fuse-box that fuses can get dirty/corrode slightly. The best thing to do is withdraw them and press them back in - this then cleans the 'prongs' enough to make them work okay. Of course have a look when they are out and check that they are not actually blown.

Sorry it was a late reply - and hope that helps a little.

Kind regards,
