2000 Hyundai Elantra with 112K original miles. I am thinking about replacing 3 to 4 quarts of transmission fluid by unplugging the drain in the bottom of transmission next month.
I cannot afford OEM Hyundai/Kia Diamond SP II & III transmission oil.
Last time I used Valvoline Maxlife multi- vehicle transmission fluid which claims to be SP II & III compliant but it became black very quickly. It costs $19 at Walmart for a gallon. I am still running on that Valvoline Maxlife since July of 2016 and the transmission is fine.
My question is, have you used the BP multi- vehicle transmission fluid on this engine? Which after-market transmission fluid are compatible with this engine?
