My girlfriend is looking at buying a 2006 Sonata used with one owner from a KIA dealer. It is a V6. Dealer is asking $8500 and the car has 46k miles.

Does this seem like a good deal?

Also will this be a reliable car? She doesn't make much money so she wants something reliable since it would be painful for her to be hit with big repair bills.

Is the I4 more reliable then?

I was leaning toward the V6 because of the idea that more powerful engine would mean less strain on the engine so it may last longer.
