We are considering adding a small sub/amp combo to our "new to us" Sonata GLS w/o premium sound. The sub/amp that I am looking at has speaker level inputs, which should make the install easier. (wouldn't have to buy line convertor)

My question is to those who have done this type of install,... Where did you tie into the rear speaker wiring?

And my other question is,... Does anyone know the stock stereo specs?

Be very careful using the speaker level inputs on the Amp. The signal wont be that strong and your bass and overall sound will be some what distorted at high volume. Look into buying a speaker level converter if you have the money. One to consider is Rockford fosgate 360.


Also to tie the stock wiring to your amp, just connect a negative and positive wire from each of the rear speakers and run it to each side on the speaker level inputs on the amp. And make sure if your amp has a "switch" to select RCA's or speaker level inputs is on the right one.
