i have a 2001 model elantra, and over the last 6ish months now the accelerator briefly or engine in general keep cutting out. when the engine goes i can be stuck on the side of the road for 10 minutes waiting for it to decide to work again. ive replaced: plugs, leads, fuel pump and complete assembly, idle control solenoid, water pump and belts, crank and cam shaft sensors and none of it has changed anything. one person whose looked at it thinks maybe the fuel pump was dodgy but i was hoping someone has had similar and could tell me what they think needs doing. i dont have the money to take it to a mechanic and its getting to the point where i just want to sell as as its costing way more than its worth
