So I bought this car today from my uncle, he told me me that the headlights may stop working, and I would need to buy a new relay that goes in the little box under the hood. Sure thing I try the low beams nothing! brights same thing and the turn signals altho on would not flash. He showed me that he had already replaced the relay with a dealership part around $30! So can I get an auto-store replacement much cheaper; to maybe have a few just in case? Or possibly point me in the rigth direction for an actual way to fix this?
EDIT* Actually I just read the car will dis-able the lights when the ignition is off, and that was indeed the problem! It crossed my mind that this may be the case but every car I ever owned (all american) never had such a feature. I guess my questions are still some what valid tho
