I am having major wireless Carplay issues with my Tuscon Hybrid SEL that I got in early July. I haven’t driven it enough to pinpoint reasons or situations for it, but most times I try to use it to play music, the music (through Spotify, sometimes with Apple Maps) will cut out for a second maybe every 30-60 seconds. Then I’ve had multiple times where the whole console will shut down for a few seconds while it reboots itself (without me doing anything). And I’ve had a few times when it won’t connect at all and I get the “check your phone” message. Super frustrating to the point of not being able to use anything but the radio. I’ve tried some of the common solutions like restarting my phone and car, updating my version of iOS (on 14.7.1), deleting and reconnecting the phone to the car…

Has anyone resolved the issue on the 2022 Tucson? Picked mine up Friday and not able to connect Apple car play....very frustrating...
Nope. I feel like I’ve tried all the things. On my SEL Hybrid with wireless CarPlay and running the latest version of iOS, 14.7, I have it crash and reboot about every 5-10 minutes. Happens a lot using Apple Maps and/or Spotify. 😞

2022 Hyundai Tucson owner here. Leased my car Memorial Day weekend of this year and had all the same Carplay issues stated on this thread starting about 2 hours after driving it off the lot. Was due for an upgrade on my iPhone that I had for about 3 years....switched to a Google Pixel 4a solely because of this CarPlay issue with me car. Works perfectly now and have not had a single issue since getting my Pixel on August 18th. Something to consider...
I know tech is complicated, and Hyundai may not be unique, but hopefully Hyundai and Apple are watching threads like these. (I did contact Apple support and they kinda said it was a known issue but kinda waffled and just recommended I reset my head unit each time it happens.) If this could cause either of them to lose lifelong customers, you’d think they’d be concerned about that.

Same here — iOS 15 has done nothing for my wireless CarPlay problems. I’ve been dealing with this for months now and feel like I’m being patient, but this is awful. Several times now recently I’ve been driving somewhere I wasn’t familiar and had the whole screen and audio shut down over and over while I’m trying to follow along where I’m supposed to turn. It’s a safety issue. I’ve also twice recently on separate days been on a call through CarPlay and had it completely drop out while the screen died and rebooted. Cars over ten years old can easily handle a wireless phone call. I love this car, but this one issue is so frustrating it can ruin the whole experience of the car.
