I'm taking delivery of a 2021 Limited this week - at a dealership 100 miles away! It seems this dealer hasn't sold a lot of Santa Fe's (low inventory) and didn't seem to know all the features. What do I need the dealer to do to activate the Digital Key and Bluelink apps - I'd rather do this before setting out seeing that I won't be returning to them anytime soon...
IIRC, in order to activate my BlueLink account, the dealer needed to set me up in the system at my purchase, and it took a day or 2 before I got the initial notification to activate my account.
My car doesn't have the digital key, so maybe the process is different now? And my sales person wasn't incredibly knowledgable either, so maybe that was part of the problem. You best bet is to make them do everything they can to show you the features are all working before you leave the showroom; make them do it before the paperwork is signed to give them incentive.
My suggestion if you haven’t already done it would be to look at the owners manuals for your car so you have an idea on how everything works and how to set up the digital key and what is required for BlueLink. Ask the salesman for the NFC Key Card especially if you have an iPhone.
Thank you - I have a Galaxy Note 10+ (Android). I don't believe the '21 Santa Fe Limited comes with a key card. MyHyundai - is that used with Bluelink or with a special app? I'll try and read the manual before taking delivery of the car
Once you are registered with Hyundai Bluelink (my dealer did this for me), you will download the app to have access to the features. Only if you have an android phone (and one of the phones with the specific specs) will you be able to sync your digital key with your SF.
If you have an iphone, the iphone app still does not have the ability to sync the digital key to a SF.
Some owners have written that if you have an iphone, the dealer may have a way of synching a digital key to the SF.
If you have an iPhone (the support is coming) you can activate the card key by following the on-screen instructions. The trick is to have 'both' key fobs in the car while you are activating.

It’s available from Hyundai dealers directly or on Ebay.

based on what owners have written on this forum, earlier 2021 SF window stickers had the NFC card as a feature included with the car. But then Hyundai stopped including it….for example it was not on the window sticker of my SF calligraphy purchased in late April.
