If you read all the other threads on the same topic, not everyone is successful at the dealer replacing them under warranty. That's covered under warranty.
Any reputable Hyundai dealer should replace it under warranty - clearly defective. That's covered under warranty.
I also only use touch less or hand wash. Never used anything other than soap and water on the wheels. My wheels were repaired I think 5 times before they were finally replaced. Like no matter what the clear just wouldn’t hold.My wheels are over a year old and the clear coat is still good...I asked specifically about this problem when I bought it and they said it wasn't covered under the standard warranty..
Out of curiosity for those with clear coat that peeled , how do you wash your cars? I have only used touch less.Or done by hand.
Anyone else had issues with their wheels losing clear? Just noticed yesterday. 6 month old car all 4 wheels.![]()

I also have a 2018 ultimate. Brought it to the dealership to show service manager the peeling on all the rims.Had my peeling '18 ultimate rims replaced last June and they are doing it again. Put it in the notes as I am going in for an oil change and engine software updated this week.
I just noticed the same problem, clear coat peeling on 2019 Sante Fe. Guess they never corrected the problem. They ordered me new rims. Do you use an automatic car wash? Wondering if the tire cleaner devise is causing this?Anyone else had issues with their wheels losing clear? Just noticed yesterday. 6 month old car all 4 wheels.![]()

I did use an automatic car wash for a little while. Mine were actually ceramic coated too. I haven't had them change ours out yet but they were notified and acknowledged it. Figured I'd wait until I need new tires.I just noticed the same problem, clear coat peeling on 2019 Sante Fe. Guess they never corrected the problem. They ordered me new rims.
