2017 elantra just bought at dealer jan 3, 2020
engine mis- fire at stop lights brief check engine light
check engine light flashed once at 50 miles per hour
intermittent problem
i drove 160 miles last week no problem-
then problem reoccurred -
took back to dealer - they drove 160 miles with no issue
dealer has driven checked for codes and checked on three visits
no code cannot search further without code
cannot diagnose problem with out a code-
unwilling to do anything because of no code!!!

Sounds like a bad coil. You need a scan tool to pull the code when it happens. Then that will tell which cylinder has the misfire. Swap the coil from the misfiring cylinder to any other cylinder. Then clear the code and drive till you see the check engine light again. Pull the code and see if the misfiring cylinder follows to the location you moved the suspect coil to.
