Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a 2016 Hyundai Tucson Premium A/T and noticed the DRL turn off when the main beams or even the park lights are switched on.
(This is a standard feature for this model as confirmed by Hyundai South Africa)

Can someone help explain exactly how i can go about changing this setting to allow the DRL to stay regardless of any other lights being turned on?

Thank you kindly in advance.
Regards
Garth

DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) are only supposed to be on during daytime, so at night when you switch the lights on the DRLs automatically switch off. It's a legal requirement.

If I helped you fix it, why not...

Your support is greatly appreciated

Many other cars must be poorly designed then. And the lights on your Hyundai are obviously designed to properly comply with the regulations.

Anyway, to answer your question...no, there is no user setting that will allow the DRLs to stay on.
