Hey guys. So i just bought this car about week and half now and love it. The only thing that i find it weird or off is when im driving sometimes i feel a vibration which it only lasts about a second or two... it doesnt always do it just when im going around 25mph. Its not a vibration when its annoying or serious but it does tick me off... i can go 10mins driving without feeling it and than sometimes it does it... i keep thinking maybe its the streets but im not positive...its weird cause it only lasts for like second or 2 than goes off than starts again.. if i have music on i probably wouldnt even notice lol. The car has 56000miles on it. I still have the safetly that the dealer ship did when sold to me. Any idea why its doing that? Can it be the tires? Hopefuly nothing serious. Im thinking to bring it to Hyundai for a diagnosis but it did pass safety when i bought it soo iunno maybe im just overthinking it lol

So is it a physical vibration ("sometimes i feel a vibration which it only lasts about a second or two...) or is a audible ("if i have music on i probably wouldnt even notice")? Is it something you -feel- or something you -hear- going on with the car?

Its more of hearing. I just dont know how to explain the noise but it isnt anything loud just sound that lasts for a sec or 2.. u can also feel it on the steering wheel a bit of vibration. Its almost like ur running oover a rough spot on a street.. but i dont think its that cause it has happened often. So hard to explain it lol.

Take it to the dealer and see if they can ID the problem or at least feel/hear what you do. Not sure if they will charge you a diagnostic fee or if they can "replicate" the issue. If you could find other 15's to test drive, that could help you determine if it is an isolated problem with your car.

Sp you have a 4 year old car with 10 year old tires. That's interesting.

I think that's a terrific idea. Not only are 10 year old tires hard and non-pliable, they are UNSAFE!! Typically 6-7 years is the max life of tire rubber and the fact that these tires are 6 years older than the car gives you ammunition to make this crook replace them!

Trust. Very little of that going around these days. I can't wait to hear the explanation from the place where you purchased the car.

Sounds like the dealer took in a trade (your car) and it needed tires so they used some old take offs . Tires older than the car... total BS ripoff.

Id take it back to the selling dealer and demand new tires, it is an safety issue and they are liable IMO. The date of manufacture is stamped on the tire and most tire companies state 6-7 at max is safe life for a tire.

The one interesting thing though is that usually a tire or wheel problem is very consistent with when it causes noise or vibration ( always at xxx speed or always when turning etc)and your original post did not seem to indicate that.
