I bought a 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited on 01/20/2017. The motor never "sounded" right to me but after taking it in to 3 different repair places including the hyundai dealership, nothing could be found. I finally found a mechanic who would listen and there were metal shavings in the motor left from the manufacturer. The Hyundai dealership offered to replace the motor for $5000 plus dollars, without admitting fault of course. I have talked to Hyundai customer service several times to no avail. I have found other people online with the same issue and hyundai has helped replace the motors in several of those but I can't get any help even though it is the same make and model and very similar mileages. I have found a mechanic to replace the motor for $3800 and I am hoping that hyundai will do the right thing and back up their product. The Better Business Bureau as well as a GA Senator is also getting involved at this point.
